The Resort at Longboat Key Club

This place is amazing. I was there for three days and I didn't want to leave. The staff was great. John Paul was very friendly and Alex, who serves drinks and food on the beach, was awesome as well! I highly recommend this resort. The beach is within walking distance and it's amazing. I really hope to be back soon. Very rewarding experience!

Our favorite beach destination! Beautiful, private beach is complemented by proactive, attentive, service oriented staff. Accommodations are modern, warm, clean, and well appointed. Amenities are top notch with private golf courses in pristine condition, excellent fitness facilities, etc. Wonderful location with plenty of shopping and activities nearby. No complaints, only compliments! Wish we could stay longer.

There's a magical feeling you get when you're driving through the resort. Especially during the winter time. The lights, the people, and the ambiance are just so perfect. I would love to shout out Cheyenne from Spa, who is absolutely darling. She always has a smile on her face and never fails to spark up a conversation with an old woman like me. And William from the fitness center. He is such a handsome young man. He's always so polite! He's the reason I go there, you know.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly, beach view resort, you found the perfect spot. Pay for a beach view room, it’s worth it. You can walk from your room straight to the beach in 1 minute. The pool and hot tub are great. Food on site is also great. Service great, and gratuity is included on each purchase FYI. Laundry and kitchen in your hotel room is a big win. Loved it and will definitely be back!

I had high hopes for this resort based on the reviews, but I have been pretty disappointed in the experience thus far. While the rooms are beautiful, the rest of the resort has been a stressful experience. One the first day, both of our room keys stopped working mid day, and we were locked outside in the rain. Of note, no outside food or drinks are allowed on the beach. This is difficult if someone in your group has food allergies to be mindful of. Even dining on the resort grounds proved difficult. Dress codes are not posted anywhere for guests to view, but are strictly enforced. While we originally wanted to dine at the on-site restaurant after a morning at the beach, but we were unable to so. You are not allowed to have any visible swimwear at the poolside restaurant. This includes shorts over a one piece. After leaving the resort for lunch, we immediately felt at ease and began to relax. If you don’t mind feeling like you are under constant surveillance or paying for beach umbrellas, I would say this resort is fine. If you are looking for rest & relaxation, I would recommend a different resort.
